We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to support the day shift within a truly fast paced and high volume manufacturing environment. The business operates with the UK Food industry providing a range of Branded and Private Label products to the UK Grocery retail market. Having a strongly customer driven approach has enabled the business to develop long term relationships with some of the UK’s leading grocery retailers which in turn ahs led to significant growth and business expansion.
As a days based Maintenance Engineer you will operate in conjunction with the Engineering Manager and Operation Manager to ensure the automated equipment runs at an optimum. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a Monday – Friday days based shift.
As an apprentice trained engineer you will ideally have an electrical bias or be a mechanical engineer who also holds C&G 16th Edition or ideally 17th Edition. You will already have gained experience of supporting a high volume manufacturing operation and have a progressive and pro-active approach to engineering services. Working with highly automated plant equipment engineering as a function would be a distinct advantage as would previous experience with a food or drink environment. In addition to your apprenticeship and time served experience you will ideally have experience of working with PLCs and exposure to linx / Sato / Klikloc as well as a strong appreciation of lean manufacturing.
