Engineering Maintenance Manager £40k Norfolk

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an international food manufacturer with a turnover in excess of £200 million.  Producing and selling fresh food and drinks across several categories this business has an extremely strong track record and is experiencing a period of significant growth.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Maintenance Manager. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing all maintenance activities on site, ensuring the plant and building fabric meet business and legal requirements. You will be required to manage and maintain department KPI’s & performance to meet business requirements. Manage the daily provision and the development & training of maintenance and engineering personnel and implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will report into the site engineering manager.

In addition to managing your team an d budget you will also be required to take a hands on approach to Engineering.
You will have gained significant engineering  experience within fast paced  high volume manufacturing environments and ideally have experience of dealing with chilled short shelf life food products.  As an apprentice trained engineer you will be possess the relevant  engineering qualifications, ONC level or equivalent and be classified as  Multi-skilled across both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Previous engineering management experience within the FMCG sector and a
proven track record in food industry processes equipment and project management would be a distinct advantage.
Whilst an appreciation and demonstration of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques would be ideal.
