This is a fantastic opportunity to join an international food manufacturer with a turnover in excess of £200 million.  Producing and selling fresh food and drinks across several categories this business has an extremely strong track record and is experiencing a period of significant growth.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Planning Manager you will be responsible for ensuring Finished Goods (FG) supply meets the customers’ demands by maximising customer service while minimising the costs associated with FG and Raw Material (RM) waste and production inefficiencies.

As the production Planner you will be expected to produce the Production and Capacity Planning for the short, medium and long term as well as producing the daily Production Scheduling and daily SKU & Customer Forecasting.

You will already have gained high volume manufacturing supply chain planning experience preferably within a chilled food environment.  Whilst a degree level of education would be advantageous it is not essential and you may possess professional qualifications in forecasting or planning.  The ability to work under pressure and meet timely deadlines is essential as is the ability to work unsupervised, demonstrating ability to own projects and see through to completion.  Naturally for such a position you will be highly numerate and analytical with a proactive approach.  Strong interpersonal and influencing skills will be required to ensure your voice is heard.  You will have strong IT and PC skills especially within Excel and have previous experience of working with MRP / ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP or MOVEX.
