Technical Co-ordinator Food Manufacturing £20-25k M40 Corridor

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and quality driven food manufacturer who supply a wide range of premium products primarily within the baking and ingredients categories. You will be working with major brands as well as retailer own label products across a hugely diverse product range incorporating several hundred SKUs.

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will provide support across all technical matters, liaise with internal and external customers on technical requirements, specifications and complaints. In addition you will maintain and up-date product information on the ERP system and web based customer supply chain platforms. The role will also take responsibility for all artwork approval as well as providing quality support in the absence of the quality co-ordinator and working alongside them during peak times.

You will be a graduate with a Food Science / Food Technology degree or similar level of relevant qualification who is now seeking to develop their career by joining a growing and progressive organisation that is willing to give people responsibility and autonomy. In addition to your academic qualifications you will be naturally numerate and able to demonstrate a level of commercial acumen and ability to understand the wider business picture and where you role fits within this. It is crucial that you can demonstrate where and how you have bought quantifiable benefits to your previous employers. Your experience to date will have provided you with the background and understanding of Nutrition, Quality systems, Food labelling, Food legislation, HACCP, Microbiology, Packaging and allergen control.

Most importantly and above all else you will posses an obvious and infectious love of all things cooking and baking.
