As part of a larger international organisation this site forms a central role within one of the UK’s leading chilled food producers. Providing UK consumers with a huge variety of food products, they are recognised as a leading supplier to the retail and food service markets. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager you will take full responsibility for one of the production departments. As such you will drive and motivate your team whilst measuring them against a set of specific customer focused KPIs. Included within this will be ensuring that all training and development needs are addressed and opportunities provided for people to develop and progress within the site and wider business. You will also ensure that Health & Safety is integral to your department and that every individual sees it as such.

In addition to your team and people management you will take ownership for delivering against our operational expectations which have continuous improvement and lean manufacturing at their core to ensure that we deliver over and above our customers expectations. Previous experience of working within and CI or Lean Manufacturing environment is a prerequisite. In line with our lean focus to deliver a better product at a lower COP you will be numerically literate and be able to demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen.

Supplying premium products to the UK grocery retail channel brings with it an expectation that you will operate in a highly professional and customer focused manner. Environmental issues are seen by us as part of our corporate and social responsibility and as such you will be central to driving down waste of all raw materials, packaging and utilities to assist in our drive to minimise our carbon footprint.

You will posses high levels of communication skills along with an affinity for the people you work with.
