In terms of Process you will evaluate current NPD process and recommend changes to system to improve efficiencies whilst also managing product and packaging change process generate and maintain critical path for projects and current status. As part of our supplier partnership ethos you will develop a high level of supplier awareness and build a database of suppliers (product and packaging) in order to be aware of capabilities and fully in touch with both formulation and packaging options. In addition to your relevant food industry experience gained supplying the UK Grocery channel you will posses a number of key personal skill and attributes that are central to how we like to do business.  The first and most important will be your passion for food and cooking.  You will also be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with a natural consideration for other team members.  These will all be combined with you natural commercial awareness and numeracy.  You will also have a passion to deliver over and above your customers expectations working with quality products means we expect to deliver an equally high service level. You will be responsible for a team of 20 technical operators and liaise closely with the engineers within this highly automated high volume manufacturing environment.  Working across two plants this is a critical front line manager role in leading the change management programme in Manufacturing.  You will manage, motivate and lead the team to deliver the company’s business plan.  On shift you will ensure handovers are effective, detailed and accurate and any non-conformities identified and reported in a timely, concise manner.  Managing and reducing costs is crucial for all FMCG businesses to maintain and improve their margins in the current market.  As such you will identify and support delivery of change management improvements, have an understanding of, and control, costs within budgetary limits including labour.  As part of your role you will also conduct downtime analysis and corrective action planning as well as control and reduce material wastage usage levels whilst also controlling and managing time and attendance including sickness absence using established company procedures including. The Manufacturing Shift Manager will have responsibility with GMP for maintaining quality standards within the two plants on raw materials, packaging and processing issues.  You will be required to fully understand all relevant Food Legislation for safe operation of the Plants.  The Shift Manager will ensure all staff comply with the company Hygiene policies and procedures and maintain work areas in accordance with world class manufacturing standards of hygiene. You will be the champion of the highest possible levels of health and safety and housekeeping and ensure they are upheld in line with legislative, quality and Good Working Practice requirements. You will have already gained experience of working as a Shift Manager or FLM managing a team in a high volume manufacturing environment ideally supplying food and drink finished goods into the grocery channel.  Alternatively you will have operated within an automotive, pharmaceutical or other FMCG manufacturing business.  As such you will be experienced in Modern Manufacturing techniques and Change Management programmes and can demonstrate your achievements.  Above all you will demonstrate a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude combined with and winning mentality.
