This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing and privately owned FMCG business based in Oxfordshire. Due to continued growth year on year in both the UK and International divisions, an opportunity has arisen for a European Export Manager to join the sales and marketing team. The organisation has a selection of instantly recognisable products and brands in it’s portfolio and the successful candidate will enjoy a breadth of opportunities to grow and develop these. In addition to working with the company’s branded products you will also have the opportunity to work with a number of very high profile licensed products as well as retailer own label ranges. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this varied role will allow you to employ your experiences of supplying FMCG products to the grocery retail channel across the whole of Europe, you will take full responsibility for the P&L of your defined portfolio and work both directly with European and Global retailers and where appropriate via agents and brokers in particular territories. You will have full autonomy to manage the International business as well as driving top lines sales whilst maintaining margin. The International business is a growing and increasingly significant part of the overall business and you will work alongside the Commercial Director in devising the longer term export strategy. You will have gained previous international sales experience possibly as an Export Manager and more specifically have worked in an export role supplying the grocery retail channel preferably within a food or drink environment. This can have been gained with either retailer own label or branded products and ideally both, previous experience of working with character licensed products would also be advantageous. As this position will require international travel and time away during the week you will be required to have a strong work ethic and ability to manager your own time and diary whilst working with a high degree of autonomy. In addition you will have a strong working knowledge of the major European grocery accounts and have previously worked with agents and brokers. You will be prepared to challenge the business and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have a self-starter attitude. You will also have responsibility for managing an International Account Manager as such previous people management experience would be an advantage.
