You will be working as part of the commercial team to manage part of the grocery retailer’s product category, maintaining and developing business relationships through a strong customer focus. You will have an appreciation of effective category management, new product innovation and the partnership principles that exist within a chilled own label relationship in order to secure and drive forward the business within this major account. In addition you will be responsible for maintaining and developing profitable business within the allocated category for this quality focused retailer. In conjunction with the SNAM you will pro vide effective management to the account to deliver the highest level of service and customer satisfaction. To ensure we can deliver this as a team you will need to clearly communicate all objectives through to our production sites and in turn to our key suppliers Reporting to the SNAM you will work closely with the customer to drive forward sales and achieve budgeted targets for mutual benefit. You will identify and maintain a product portfolio that generates profitable sales mix. Analysis of standard costing information, market information and consumer trends will be required. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and quality driven food manufacturer who supply a wide range of premium products primarily within the baking and ingredients products. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will also work closely with Marketing Manager & Quality Manager and be responsible for managing product and packaging development for all NPD projects and product changes for both Branded and Own Label products and to commercially evaluate New Product Development opportunities. Your principle responsibilities will include; managing product development process from concept to customer acceptance (either brief to external suppliers or develop in-house). To Develop all packaging formats and designs in conjunction with Marketing team and develop and approve artwork whilst also evaluating product costing in conjunction with the Commercial Assistant. As part of your liaison with marketing you will assist in the research and evaluate market opportunities. You will be the primary driver of all Packaging innovations and changes to include managing the implementation of packaging changes for both NPD and EPD which includes the pioneering and innovation of new packaging formats.
